Stephen Hillenburg

Stephen McDannell "Steve" Hillenburg[1] (born August 21, 1961-died November 26, 2018) was an American animator, writer, producer, actor, voice actor, and director best known for creating the animated series SpongeBob SquarePants. He owned the production company, United Plankton Pictures. He wrote directed and written for certain episodes of Rocko's Modern Life. In season 4, he got promoted to creative director/producer. Hillenburg also worked on episodes for Bobby's World and Garfield and Friends, he also worked on the 2001 direct-to-video film Tom and Jerry: The Magic Ring.
