Rocko's Modern Life references[]

  • Rocko's character select screen background is based on the opening and credits of Rocko's Modern Life.
  • Rocko's alternate costume is based on his bowling outfit for The Losers' team in "Gutter Balls".
  • The Suck-O-Matic appears as an item. Notably, this item was added to the game before Rocko was made available as a playable fighter but after his announcement and judging from datamines, was intended to be in the game at launch before Rocko's inclusion was even planned.
    • Rocko's old Suk-Olux vacuum also appears in Rocko's Strong Dash.
  • Rocko's stage "Hardcore Chores" references "Future Schlock" and Rocko's Modern Life: Static Cling, with Rocko's house marooned in space after being impaled by the Conglom-O rocket. The walking bananas from the prior episode appear. Rocko's launch tagline is "Rocko: Down to Earth", also a reference to Static Cling.
  • Rocko's Up Air Light is taken from "Wimp on the Barbie".
  • Rocko's Down Ground Light attack, "Cleaning Duty", has Rocko try to mop up while Spunky is biting it, in reference to "Clean Lovin'".
  • Rocko's Light Dash, "Roller Fall", is based on "Wallaby on Wheels".
  • Rocko's Up Ground Strong, "Pogo Jump" has him bounce on his childhood pogo stick from "Junk Junkies".
  • Rocko's Mid Ground Strong, "Scream!", is based on the ending of "Rocko's Happy Sack" - one of the voice lines for this move, "YOU'RE FIRED!", references "Power Trip".
  • Rocko's Up Air Strong, "Look at It!", features the Sad Crying Clown in An Iron Lung painting from "Who Gives a Buck". His Down Ground Strong, "Hammer Attack", is also taken from this episode.
  • Rocko's Down Air Strong, "Watch Out!", is based on a scene from "Pipe Dreams".
  • Rocko's second idle animation and the move "Wallaby Kick" both come from the SNES game Rocko's Modern Life: Spunky's Dangerous Day.
  • There is an unused voice clip from the announcer for Filburt. Note that fighting games use fake voice clips to prevent voice actors from leaking characters, and therefore this does not inherently mean he was planned for the game. The base game also launched with a voice clip of Rocko's name prior to his addition proper.
