Filburt's Father is Filburt's father, Paula's father-in-law and Filburt and Paula's children's paternal grandfather.

When Filbert was young he left him with his Crazy Aunt Gretchen who told him that if he ever touched one piece of candy, the Hopping Hessian would take him away.
